About Me

My name is Shelby Hyde and I am currently a student pursuing my Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff Arizona. Prior to attending NAU I received my Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science from Boise State University. Even though I knew I wanted to become a Physical Therapist for my career I decided to look into other jobs while in college to broaden my experiences. This led me to jobs that I never expected with the favorite being a gymnastics instructor for little kids. I am passionate about physical activity and am addicted to long distance running. Besides my little family, consisting of my wife and daughter, running and playing sports is what gets me through all the stresses of the day. This passion led me to consider becoming a physical therapist along with my fascination with injuries and our body's ability to recover from a horrible looking injury back to normal. That is what started me on the path to becoming a physical therapist however, as I am in school I am discovering so much more about the field of physical therapy and my passion for my future career is growing as I finally get closer to my dream career as a Physical Therapist.
